An icon of American Bluegrass and Country, Clarence White is best known for his work with 'The Byrds' and for the development (in collaboration with fellow band member Gene Parsons) of the B-Bender system, enabling him to bend the B string on his Telecaster a whole tone, emulating the sound of traditional pedal steel guitars.
His beautiful Fender 2-Tone Sunburst 50's Telecaster was extensively modified over the years, featuring a classic Stratocaster single coil in the neck position with Red Tortoiseshell pickguard, Phase switch located on the control plate, various stickers and, of course, the prototype B-Bender system - a monster that has since been streamlined and perfected...
