78' STRATOCASTER TRIBUTE
Billy Corgan is arguably one of the most prolific musicians of his generation, inspiring an army of fans as part of "The Smashing Pumpkins" and going on to enjoy a hugely successful solo career.
During the GISH era, Billy owned two classic 70's Fender Stratocasters and this, his 'back-up' guitar, was used to record all of the solos on the GISH album as well as many other studio recordings and live performances. After his 'Yellow Strat' was stolen at a gig in Detriot, his 78' Strat (hand painted by friend 'Crazy Nick' in tribute to Clapton's CREAM era) became a prized posession that Corgan continues to use to this day due to its playability and 'attack'.
