In the latter half of 1967, guitar legend Jimi Hendrix found Gibson’s outstanding Flying V (part of the new ‘modern’ series) and fell instantly in love with its dynamic design and playability. Equipped with a short-scale Maestro Vibrato, Jimi went on to immortalise the instrument with his own psychedelic artistry (apparently painted with his girlfriend's nail polish!).
The guitar has since become an icon of musical history and a classic guitar of the 60's that continues to inspire generations of musicians the world over…
