The Les Paul known as "No.2" took Jimmy Page's love of experimentation and design to a whole new level - his second 1959 Gibson Les Paul. Featuring no less than four push / pull control pots that allowed for dynamic control of each individual pickup, coil-tap, phase switching and series / parallel switching options, making Page’s Les Paul one of the most versatile guitars of the period. After the break-up of Led Zeppelin, Page had a further two switches mounted underneath the scratchplate of "No.2", to allow for even more control of the guitar’s pickups and creating over 21 unique tonal options from the guitar - even before being run through numerous effects pedals!!!
