McKinley Morganfield, better known as Blues auteur ‘Muddy Waters’, has been considered by many as the "father of modern Chicago Blues". Throughout his career, one guitar remained by his side and became synonymous with the great man - becoming one of the most iconic Blues guitars in musical history, his Candy Apple Red Fender “Custom” Telecaster. Produced from a 50's Fender Telecaster body in Candy Apple Red finish that was combined with an early 60's Fender Custom Telecaster neck, Muddy’s guitar was fitted with a 6-saddle brass bridge, Witches-Hat control knobs and additional screws to hold down the flimsy 1-ply pickguard!
