"STATUS QUO" TELECASTER TRIBUTE
Arguably one of the most iconic rock guitar pairings in musical history, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt were both firm advocates of the Fender Telecaster, customising their guitars from very early on.
Rick's guitar started life with a dark blue finish that he refinished in white himself and the trademark "Quo" sawn-off Telecaster bridge / pickup plate fitted. Installing a wrap around stop-tail bridge, Rick also wanted to maintain the guitar's original sustain, so fitted thru-strung ferrules on the front of the guitar so that the guitar's original thru-strung sustain would be protected. A gold lipstick single coil in the neck position, gold control knobs as well as a volume control 'grip' give the guitar a totally unique personality that screams "Quo" all over!
