JOHN ENTWISTLE "AXE BASS II" TRIBUTE
Legendary 'WHO' bass guitarist John Entwistle's incredible skill was matched only by his talent for design - leading to the production of the iconic “Axe Bass” back in 1967. A creation that amalgamated a Fender Jazz Bass with a bizarre body shape which gave John a stunning look on stage and became a principle player for some years. In 1971 the “Axe Bass II” was born, based on a sketch that John had done, the monstrous guitar that was designed like a pole axe - the huge body and Gibson Thunderbird inspired set-up made it another classic one-off.
